Netflix removes all Marvel series as of 1 March 2022, including 'Daredevil', 'Jessica Jones', 'Luke Cage' or 'The Defenders'. Disney is probably taking back its Marvel licences.
Since 11 February 2022, Netflix series from the Marvel Defenders franchise have been provided with a message about their expiry. If you access one of the following series for the first time under a profile, you will see the notice that the content will only be available until 28 February 2022:
Daredevil (seasons 1-3)
Jessica Jones (seasons 1-3)
Luke Cage (season 1-2)
Iron Fist (season 1-2)
The Defenders (season 1)
The Punisher (season 1-2)
Netflix already confirmed to whats-on-netflix.com that the Marvel series will accordingly cease to be available for viewing on 1 March 2022 and that the rights will revert to Walt Disney. With the removal of the Marvel "The Defenders" series, the streaming service will lose over 160 episodes of content released over a four-year period.
